Privacy Policy for PixMender

PixMender is an Android app that helps you look for and restore supported files that are still available in Android trash. This Privacy Policy explains how PixMender handles information when you use the app.

1. Summary

PixMender processes supported files on your device only. It does not create accounts, transmit your files or recovery history to a server, upload files, or sell or share your personal data.

2. Information the App Accesses on Your Device

When you choose to grant Android All files access and start a scan, PixMender may access supported files that are still available in shared-storage trash locations. To show scan results, preview supported media, restore selected files, and keep recovery history, the app processes information such as file names, file paths, file type, file size, file availability, and recovery time.

This information remains on your device. PixMender does not transmit it to us or to third parties.

3. How the App Uses Device Information

PixMender uses device-stored file information only to:

- find supported files that are still available in Android trash after you start a scan;

- show real file details and available media previews;

- restore only the files you select to recovery folders on your device;

- show the result of a recovery task; and

- maintain local recovery history until you clear it.

PixMender does not scan files in the background.

4. Storage Access Permission

PixMender requests Android All files access only after you choose to enable it through Android settings. This permission is used only for the app's core function of scanning for and restoring supported files that are still available in Android trash. You can manage or turn off this permission in Android settings at any time. If you turn it off, scanning and restoring are unavailable, while existing local recovery history remains available until you clear it.

PixMender does not promise to recover permanently deleted files. Results can vary by device, Android version, and where a file was originally stored.

5. Data Sharing

PixMender does not sell, rent, share, or disclose your personal data to third parties. It does not operate account services, cloud backup, or cloud upload services for the current version.

6. Local Storage, Retention, and Deletion

PixMender stores recovery history locally in the app's private storage. The history may include original and restored file names, file type, file size, target path, recovery time, and recovery result.

You can delete this local history in Settings by choosing Clear Recovery History. Clearing history removes the local record only; it does not delete files that were restored to your device. You can manage or delete recovered files with Android's file tools. Uninstalling the app removes its private app storage according to Android's normal behavior; files restored to shared device folders are not automatically deleted by PixMender.

7. Security

PixMender is designed so that file scanning and recovery occur on your device. Because the app does not send your file information to our servers, PixMender does not retain a server-side copy of your files, scan results, or recovery history.

8. Children's Privacy

PixMender does not knowingly collect personal information from children or any other users. The app does not provide accounts, social features, or direct data collection.

9. Your Privacy Choices

You may:

- decline or revoke Android All files access in Android settings;

- clear PixMender's local recovery history in Settings; and

- manage or delete recovered files directly on your device.

Because PixMender does not receive or store your data on a server, it cannot provide access, correction, deletion, or portability for server-held personal data.

10. Changes to This Policy

If PixMender's data practices change, we will update this Privacy Policy and the Last updated date before the change takes effect. We will also update the Google Play Data safety section when required.
